3.force of attraction between two bodies is proportional to the product of the individual masses of the two bodies and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. This force will remain same for the two bodieswhether they are on the earth or on the moon.
4.i)When distance between objects ishalved, force of attraction will become 1(12)2=114=4 times i.e. will become four times.
ii)Hence force of attraction will be quadrupled. (1) When distance between objects is doubled, force of attraction will become 122=14 times i.e. willbecome one-fourth
