Answer:

Sublimation is a process in which a solid changes into a gas directly without changing into liquid first. For example: Dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) sublimates into carbon dioxide vapour at room temperature and pressure. The following diagram shows the apparatus and set up of sublimation process of ammonium chloride.Oct 2, 2016

Answer:

Sublimation is the conversion between the solid and the gaseous phases of matter, with no intermediate liquid stage. For those of us interested in the water cycle, sublimation is most often used to describe the process of snow and ice changing into water vapor in the air without first melting into water.

Explanation:

Sublimation is a process in which a solid changes into a gas directly without changing into liquid first. For example: Dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) sublimates into carbon dioxide vapour at room temperature and pressure. The following diagram shows the apparatus and set up of sublimation process of ammonium chloride

We can show this from a activity :

• Take some camphor or ammonium chloride.

crush it and put it in a China dish.

• Put an inverted funnel over the dish.

• Put a cotton plug on the stem of the funnel.

• Now, heat slowly and observe.

We can observe the change of state directly from solid to gas without changing into liquid state.

This is called Sublimation.

Hope it helps plz mark me as brainliest...............
