Question :

An object reaches to speed of 10 m/s starting from rest in 2 seconds find acceleration of object.

Given :

  • Initial velocity, u = 0 m/s
  • Final velocity, v = 10 m/s
  • Time, t = 2 seconds

To find :

  • Acceleration of object

According to the question,

v = u + at

Where,

  • v = Final velocity
  • u = Initial velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • t = Time

➞ Substituting the values,

➞ 10 = 0 + a × 2

➞ 10 - 0 = 2a

➞ 10 = 2a

➞ 10 ÷ 2 = a

➞ 5 = a

So,the acceleration of object is 5 m/s².

Answer:

Given :-

  • An object reaches to speed of 10 m/s starting from rest in 2 seconds.

To Find :-

  • What is the acceleration of an object.

Formula Used :-

By using the first equation of motion we know that,

\boxed{\bold{\large{\mathtt{v\: =\: u\: +\: at}}}}

where,

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time period

Solution :-

Given :-

  • v = 10 m/s
  • u = 0 m/s
  • t = 2 sec

According to the question by using the formula we get,

⇒ 10 = 0 + a(2)

⇒ 10 = 0 + 2a

⇒ 10 - 0 = 2a

⇒ 10 = 2a

⇒ - 2a = - 10

⇒ a = \sf\dfrac{\cancel{- 10}}{\cancel{- 2}}

a = 5 m/

\therefore The acceleration of an object is 5 m/ .
