answer1..the distribution of electrons in a carbon atom as 2, 4. The total number of electrons in a sodium atom is 11. Or, we can write distribution of electrons in a sodium atom as 2, 8, 1.
answer2...We know that the K shell can hold amaximum of 2 electrons, while the L shell can accommodate a maximum of 8 electrons. Thus, if in an atom both the K and L shell are full, then the total number of electrons in the atom are 2 + 8 = 10...........

1. Electron distribution in Carbon

is 2,4, as its atomic number is 6.

Then in Sodium it is 2, 8,1 as its

atomic number is 11.

2. As K shell capacity is 2 and L shell

capacity is 8, then electrons

present in it is, 2+8=10.

Therefore it has 10 electrons in it.

Hope this helps you ...
