Mathematically it is defined as---
The negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration

pH= -log[H+]


It ranges between 0 to 14
lesser pH will be more acidic but below 7.
water of city A has pH 6 and water of city B has pH 5

So, water of city B is more acidic.
