Given-

AB=60cm

GH=40cm

Let CD=EF=x cm

Average=45cm

Then,

 \frac{60 + 40 + x + x}{4}  =  \: 45

 \frac{100 + 2x}{4}  =  \: 45

100 + 2x = 45 \times 4

100 + 2x = 180

2x = 180 - 100

2x = 80

x =  \frac{80}{2}  => x = 40

Therefore, CD=EF=40cm

Midpoint of AB= 60/2=30cm

Midpoint of GH= 40/2=20cm

Midpoint of CD and EF= 40/2=20cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given-

AB=60cm

GH=40cm

Let CD=EF=x cm

Average=45cm

Then,

\frac{60 + 40 + x + x}{4} = \: 45

\frac{100 + 2x}{4} = \: 45

100 + 2x = 45 \times 4

100 + 2x = 180

2x = 180 - 100

2x = 80

x = \frac{80}{2} => x = 40

Therefore, CD=EF=40cm

Midpoint of AB= 60/2=30cm

Midpoint of GH= 40/2=20cm

Midpoint of CD and EF= 40/2=20cm
