area of region 1 : region 1 is enclosed by a triangle of sides a=5cm,b=5cm,c=1cm
let 2s be the perimeter of the triangle
2s=5+5+1=s=11/2cm
area of region 1= root over of √s×s-a×s-b×s-c
area of region 1 = 2.49 cm square
area of region 1= area of region 2(2.49cm square)
area of region 3 = In triangle ABE,
AB square =AE square + BE square
1=0.25 +BE square
BE =√0.75=√3/
area of region 3 = 1/2× AD+ BC ×BE = 1.3cm square
area of region 4=1/2×6×1.5= 4.5 cm square
area of region 5= area of region 4 (4.5cm square)
Hence, the total area of paper used = sum of all the areas =19.29cm square
