Let the no. of 10 paise coins be x.
And the no. of 20 paise coins be y.
A.T.Q
10x+20y=1420
x+2y=142 ...(1)
5(y)=7(x)+30
5y−7x=30 ...(2)
From (1), we get
x=142−2y
Substitute the value of x in eqn (2),
we get
5y−7(142−2y)=30
5y−994+14y=30
19y=1024
y=1024/19=53.89 _____answer
x=142−2(53.89)
=142−107.7=34.3 -______answer
So, Approximately 10 paise coins are
used 35.and 20 paise coins are used 54.
I think my answer is capable to clear your confusion
hope it will help you
