Step-by-step explanation:

Given:Area of the park

 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 4 \:  \:  {m}^{2}

To find: Distance covered by a person walking around the park once;i.e. Perimeter of the park

Solution:

First find the side of the park, for that

Following formula's are used

Area \: of \: square = ( {side)}^{2} \\ Perimeter \: of \: square = 4 \times side \\

To find side, factorise the given expression of area

 {x}^{2} + 4x + 4 \\ \\ = > {x}^{2} + 2x + 2x + 4 \\ \\ = > x(x + 2) + 2( x+ 2) \\ \\ = > (x + 2)(x + 2) \\ \\ = > ( {x + 2)}^{2} \\ \\

here we can compare this with formula

 {(side)}^{2} = ( {x + 2)}^{2} \\ \\

when powers are same,we can compare base

thus,

Side of square is (x+2) meter.

Now,

find the perimeter

 = 4 \times side \\ \\ = 4 \times ( x + 2) \\ \\ = 4x + 8 \\ \\

Thus,

Distance covered by a person to walking around the park is 4x+8 meter.

Hope it helps you.
