Average speed of a body is defined as the average distance traveled by that body in a given time
Speed 1 = 10m/s
Time 2 = 2mins = 120 secs
Distance 1 = S×t = 10×120
= 1200 m
Speed 2= 10m/s
time 2= 5 mins = 300 sec
Distance = 3000m
Total distance = 4200 m
Total time = 420 sec
Avg Speed = Total distance/ total time
= 4200/420
= 10 m/s
