Question :
How will you separate a mixture of Ammonium Chloride and Iodine?
Answer :
Both Ammonium Chloride and Iodine sublime on heating so they cannot be separated by heating but when we add water to this mixture ammonium chloride will dissolve but iodine will note on filtration ammonium chloride will pass into the filtrate and Iodine will be left as the Residue.
On slow eating the filtrate water will evaporate of leaving behind ammonium chloride.
And in this way we can separate the mixture of Ammonium Chloride and Iodine from each other.
