Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of Quadrilateral = 18 Sq. Units.

==> (1/2) * 3x₁ * 2r = 18

==> 3x₁ * r = 18

==> x₁ * r = 6    ---- (1)

The Equation is BC is y = -2r/x₁(x - 2x₁)

BC is tangent to circle,

==> (x - r)² + (y - r)² = r²

Perpendicular distance of BC from centre = radius,

==> 2r²/x₁ - 3r = r√1 + 4r²/x₁²

==> (2r - 3x₁)² = x₁² + 4r²

==> r * x₁ = 2/3 x₁²

==> 3r = 2x₁

==> x₁ = (3/2) * r  ----- (2)

From (1) and (2).

==> x₁ * r = 6

==> (3/2) * r * r = 6

==> 3r² = 12

==> r² = 4

==> r = 2 sq.units

Result,

Radius = 2 units.
