We have,

 \qquad \frac{21x - 3}{4}  -  \left( 2x -  \frac{1 - x}{2}  \right)  =  \frac{x + 5}{2}  \\  \\  \\  \implies  \frac{21x - 3}{2}  -  \frac{4x - (1 - x)}{2}  =  \frac{x + 5}{2}  \\  \\  \\  \implies  \frac{21x - 3 - (4x - 1 + x)}{2}  =  \frac{x + 5}{2}  \\  \\  \\  \implies  \frac{21x - 3 - (5x - 1)}{ \cancel{2} }  =  \frac{x + 5}{ \cancel{2} }  \\  \\  \\  \implies 21x - 3 - 5x + 1 = x + 5 \\  \\  \\  \implies 21x - 5x - x = 5 + 3 - 1 \\  \\  \\  \implies (21 - 5 - 1)x = (5 + 3 - 1) \\  \\  \\  \implies 15x = 7 \\  \\  \\  \implies x =  \frac{7}{15}
