These days are so dark and dreary with news of deaths and despair hovering in the air. West Bengal is devastated as flood kills dozens in India. The super flood lashed coastal areas with water and heavy rains. Thousands of trees have been uprooted, telephone and power lines have been brought down and people in rural areas are on the streets as their homes have been flattened. To help my state heal quickly, I joined an NGO called "UDAAN" to help flood victims. We visited several rural villages in North 24 Parganas with dry food, clothes and essentials to give some relief to the people.
