1.Combustion is considered as a chemical change because while combustion a reaction with oxygen takes place and also combustion is an irreversible change.

2.Coal shouldn't be burnt in a closed room as coal is a form of carbon and on burning carbon , it reacts with oxygen and forms Carbon dioxide (CO2) which if inhaled by us can cause problems.

Combustion is a chemical change because new substances with new properties are formed. The original substance can not be got back.
