Answer:

Explanation:

a} speed and velocity are kinematic quantities that have distinctly different definitions. Speed, being a scalar quantity, is the rate at which an object covers distance. The average speed is the distance (a scalar quantity) per time ratio. Speed is ignorant of direction. On the other hand, velocity is a vector quantity; it is direction-aware. Velocity is the rate at which the position changes. The average velocity is the displacement or position change (a vector quantity) per time ratio.

b} An ammeter is an instrument used for measuring electric current in units of     amperes. An ammeter must be connected in series with the path of the current being measured. Setting the ammeter up in parallel will create a short circuit and will not measure the current correctly.

c] The Bohr Model is very limited in terms of size. Poor spectral predictions are obtained when larger atoms are in question. It cannot predict the relative intensities of spectral lines. It does not explain the Zeeman Effect, when the spectral line is split into several components in the presence of a magnetic field

d} Limitations of the Mendeleev periodic table are listed below.

Elements with large differences in properties were included in the same        group. ... No proper position could be given to the element hydrogen. ...The increasing order of atomic mass was not strictly followed throughout.

e} All of the noble gases have full outer shells with eight electrons. ... The fact that their outer shells are full means they are quite happy and don't need to react with other elements. In fact, they rarely combine with other elements. That non-reactivity is why they are called inert.
