EXECUTIVE:
------------------

It is that branch of the government which is responsible for executing and implementing policies. The Executive comprises of the following two categories in our country:

1️⃣Political executive:

✔️ It comprises of the elected members of the executive. They are the ministers who are elected by the people. The larger policy decisions of the government are taken by the political executive. It is not permanent in nature and is changed  after a certain period of time through fresh mandate by the people by means of elections.

2️⃣ Permanent executive:

✔️It comprises of the bureaucracy or the civil servants who are appointed on the long term basis . It is permanent in nature and is tasked with implementing the policy decisions of the political executive.

JUDICIARY:

1️⃣The judiciary  is a powerful and independent institution.

2️⃣It is a mechanism for the legal redressal of disputes and prosecution of legal offenders as well.

3️⃣Apart from this, the judiciary at the higher level also interprets the Constitution and resolves disputes between the centre and states as well as between different states.

4️⃣It protects the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution and is the mechanism to seek recourse to constitutional remedies.

5️⃣It also strikes down any law that contravenes the Constitution in letter and spirit.

6️⃣Along with the legislature and the executive, it is one of the three pillars of  democracy.
