Answer:

So a lubricant is a substance that reduces friction, heat, and wear when introduced as a film between solid surfaces. Using the correct lubricant helps maximize the life of your bearings and machinery, therefore saving money, time, and manpower, thus making operations more efficient and more reliable.

when two different surfaces come in contact , their irregularities go into each other and they interlock. Therefore, the frictional force will be greater in case of rough surface than smooth surface. To move one body against the other , this interlocking force has to be overcome by application of force.

In static friction, the frictional force resists force that is applied to an object, and the object remains at rest until the force of static friction is overcome. In kinetic friction, the frictional force resists the motion of an object.

Sliding friction (also called kinetic friction) is a contact force that resists the sliding motion of two objects or an object and a surface.

Sliding friction can be changed into rolling friction easily by providing wheels or ball bearings to the objects to reduce friction and facilitate easy movement.

Rolling resistance, sometimes called rolling friction or rolling drag, is the force resisting the motion when a body rolls on a surface. It is mainly caused by non-elastic effects; that is, not all the energy needed for deformation of the wheel, roadbed, etc., is recovered when the pressure is removed.
