1)Gravitational force is acting downwards, and muscular force is applied by the hands lifting bucket upwards. Although these forces are acting on the bucket no change is found in its state of motion because the two forces are in the opposite direction & hence balancing each other.
2)The two forces acting on the rocket immediately after leaving the launching pad are gravitational force and frictional force. The gravitational force acts downwards towards the earth and frictional force acts due to surrounding air.
8) Device which is based on atmospheric pressure is Barometer. Barometer is a scientific device which is used for the measurement of atmospheric pressure. Barometer consists of a glass tube having mercury in it, which deflects and shows the atmospheric pressure.
