Step-by-step explanation:
Given :-
Saina sold a watch to Vicky at a gain of 10% and Vicky sold it to Tanveer at a gain of 4% and Tanveer pays Rs. 1430 for it.
To find :-
How much did Saina purchase it ?
Solution :-
Let the cost price of the watch be Rs. C
Gain on it = 10%
We know that
Selling Price = [(100+g)×CP]/100
=> SP = (100+10)×C/100
=> SP = 110C/100
=> SP = 11C/10
Selling Price of the watch = Rs. 11C/10
If it is sold it to Vicky by Saina then
The Cost price of the watch by Vicky
=Rs. 11C/10
Again It is sold by Vicky to Tanveer at gain of 4% then
Selling Price = [(100+g)×CP]/100
=> SP = [(100+4)×(11C/10)]/100
=> SP = [(104)(11C/10)]/100
=> SP = (104×11C)/(10×100)
=> SP =1144C/1000
=> SP = 143C/125
The selling price of the watch by Vicky =
Rs. 143C/125
If it's is sold to Tanveer then he paid Rs. 1430
=> 143C/125 = 1430
=> 143C = 1430×125
=> C = (1430×125)/143
=> C = 10×125
=> C = 1250
Therefore, The intial cost price of the watch is
Rs. 1250
Answer:-
The purchased amount by Sania for the watch = Rs. 1250
Used formulae:-
→Selling Price = [(100+g)×CP]/100
Step-by-step explanation:
Let C.P of watch For Mohit = x vicky Sold It At a profit of 10%
So, S.P of Mohit = x + 10x/100
= 110x/100 = 11x/10 S.P of Mohit = C.P for Karim
No,
Karim sells it at a profit of 4% So S.P of Karim = 11x + 11x * 4 10 10 * 100 = 1100x + 44x / 1000
S.P Of karim = C.P of Rahim But Rahim Pays 14300 for it
Therefore,
1144x /1000 = 14300
x = 14300 * 1000/1144 x = Rs 12500
Therefore,
Mohit Buys The Watch For Rs 12500
