21% is the Adenine, so its obvious that the other 21% will also be Thymime.

So,

21% + 21% = 42%

So, now the percentage of Guanine and Cytocine would be,

100% - 42% = 58%

Half of them would be cytocine and guanine, so,

58÷2 = 29%( percentage of both cytocine and guanine)

so, as we know that Thymime and Cytocine are pyrimidines,

adding their percentages we get,

29% + 21% = 50%
