1/R_ = 1/R1 +1/ R2

= 1/10 + 1/40

take LCM n u get

1/R_ = 1/8

therefore R_ = 8

consider R__ (R double dash),R3,R4,R5

1/R__= 1/R3+1/R4+1/R5

1/R__= 1/30+1/R20+1/R60

take LCM n u get

1/R__=1/10

R__=10 ohm

total resistance =R_+R__=8ohm +10ohm = 18ohm

total current = V/R

= 12/18

=2/3

=0.67ohm
