x, x+ 3, x + 6.

According to the problem :

➡️ x + x + 3 + x + 6. = 867

➡️ 3x + 9 = 867

➡️ 3x = 858

➡️ x = 286

➡️ x + 3 = 286 + 3 = 289

\blue{\huge{\bold{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\underline{ANSWER}}}}}}}}

given 3 consecutive multiples of 3

let x, x+3, x+6 be the multiples of 3

given sum of the 3 multiples is 867

x+x+3+x+6=867

3x+9=867

3x=867-9

3x=858

x=286

  • therefore x=286
  • x+3= 289
  • x+6=292
