Explanation:

Given

Diameter of wheel (D)=80 cm

Radius (r)=280=40 cm.

1 complete revolution of wheel = Circumference of wheel (C)

C=2πr=2π×40=80π cm

C=0.8π m

Speed of the car =66 km / hr.=6066×1000 m/ min.

∴ Speed of the car =1100 m / min.

Therefore, in 10min., the car will travel a distance of 1100×10=11000 m

No. of revolutions of wheel =0.8π11000=0.8×2211000×7=4375

Each wheel of the car makes 4375 complete revolutions in 10 min.

Answer:

It given the daimeter of wheel is = 80 cm

so the radius of the wheel is half of daimeter

r = 80/20 = 40 cm

so the circumference of wheel is 2 pi r

c = 2 pi r = 2 ( 22/7 ) 40 cm

now as we know 1 cm = (1/100) m

c = 2 pi r = 2 (22/7) (40) / 100

now the distance coverd by the car at the speed of 66 km/ hr . in 10 minutes the distance will be equal to multiplication of speed and time

d = km/ hr (10 min)

now as we know 60 min = 1 hr

10 min = 10 / 60 hr

d = 66 × 10/60 = 11 km

now as we know the 1 km is = 1000m

therefore 11 km = 11000 m

so the the complete revolution ( s ) does each wheel makes is the ratio of total distance coverd by the wheel divided by circumference of wheel

s = d / c = 11000 / 2 (22/7) (40) / 100 =

11000 × 7 × 100 / 2 × 22 × 40 .
