✪ Speed :

  • The rate at which a body moves
  • How fast an object is moving.

Speed is a scaler quantity

  • SI unit of speed is m/s

Relationship between distance and time as an equation :

 \large \red \looparrowright \bold{speed =  \dfrac{distance}{time}}

  • For examples :

⍟ A car covers a distance of 36m in 3min. Find the speed of the car .

  • Speed will be distance covered by the body in the given time .

SI unit of speed= meter per second

  • 1 minute = 60seconds
  • 3 minutes = 180 seconds

 \large \red \looparrowright \tt{speed =  \dfrac{distance}{time}}

 \\  \large \red \implies \sf \: speed =  \frac{36}{180}

 \\ \large \red \therefore  \green{ \underline{ \boxed{\sf \pink{ \sf \: speed = 0.5m/s}}}}
