Explanation:

Since here gases of different volume and pressure are mixed in a vessel of 1L we should focus on the parameter Which will Not change after mixing i.e.no.of moles

:-we know,

PV=nRT

Then further implies that: n=PV/RT

Now for H2,

No.of moles=PV/RT

Pressure (P)=0.8 bar

Volume (V)=0.5L

Moles of H2=0.8×0.5/RT

Now For O2,

Pressure (P)=0.7bar

Volume (V)=2L

No.of moles of O2=PV/RT

=0.7×2/RT=1.4RT

Total no.of moles=0.4/RT+1.4/RT=1.8/RT

Total pressure=n'RT/V' Here,n is total no. of moles=1.8/RT

V is total volume=1L

Total pressure=1.8/RT

=Total pressure=1.8/RT×RT/1=1.8 atm.

Hence, the total pressure of the gaseous mixture will be 1.8 atm.

hope it will help you

Answer:

1.79 bar

Explanation:

P×1=(n

H  2  +n  O  2  )

×0.0821×300

⇒P=(0.016+0.056)×0.0821×300

⇒ P=1.79bar
