Step-by-step explanation:

From given figure ,

angle ADE = angle B

To prove : triangle ABC ~ triangle ADE and to find DE

Given :

AD = 3.8 cm , AE = 3.6 cm , BE = 2.1 cm and BC = 4.2 cm

Now in triangle ADE and triangle ABC ,

angle ADE = angle B ( given )

angle A = angle A ( common )

So , triangle ABC ~ triangle ADE ( By AA )

Again ,

continued in the attachement ..

I hope it helps u dear friend ^_^♡♡

Angle ADE = Angle B

To Proof : Triangle ABC ~ Triangle ADE and to find DE

Given :- AD = 3.8cm, AE = 3.6cm BE = 2.1 cm and BC = 4.2 cm

Now in triangle ADE and Triangle ABC

Angle ADE = Angle B {Given }

Angle A = Angle A { Common }

So, triangle ABC~ Triangle ADE

Again

AD/AB = DE/BC

AD/AE + EB = x/4.2

3.8/3.6+2.1 = x/4.2

x= 2.8cm

DE = 2.8 cm
