Question -

Solve the following linear equation -

3 ( x - 3 ) = 5 ( 2x + 1 )

Solution -

Here , the following linear equation is given -

3 ( x - 3 ) = 5 ( 2x + 1 )

=> 3x - 9 = 10x + 5

=> 9x - 9 - 3 x = 10x - 3x + 5

=> -9 = 7x + 5

=> -9 - 5 = 7x

=> 7x = -14.

=> x = -2

Thus , the only root or solution of the given linear equation is x = -2.

This is the required answer .
