blood coagulation happens as such

injured tissue+injured platelets releases thromboplastin

prothrombin gets converted to thrombin (active state)

thrombin gives fibrinogen (soluble) so using calcium ions gets converted to Fibrin (insoluble)

plasma+ RBC gives serum when cells get abosorbed and fibrin gets used up in making clot.
