there is no end of tapan's pranks. He is always getting into trouble. he is never the first to pick a quarrel. But if anybody offends him he never hesitates to give as good as he gets. He is the leader of his age group and is always ready to take up the cudgels on their behalf. He is popular and respected by his companions.
Haren, the shopkeeper of Padumani village, had complaint to the headmaster that Tapan and number of other boys had thrown stones at his shop the previous evening.
with all this the headmaster always saw tapan in mischief and never saw the reason behind all this.
