why x + 2 root x - 3 is not considered as a quadractic equation....explain me

bcoz quadratic equations means the variables whose highest power is 2
but x+2andx-3has highest power as 1

First of all it is not a equation cause it isn't equalising to any thing.
second for quadratic equation the degree should be 2.
and third a quadratic equation is of polynomials bu the above question is not a polynomial bcz it has root .
