  • Heat gets transferred from a region where it is more to the region where it is less

  • That is heat goes from high → low

  • Heat is a form of kinetic energy, more the heat more will be the Kinetic energy and lesser the Kinetic energy lesser the heat

  • Transfer of heat is called as Conduction

  • Metals are good conductors of head

  • Most non metals are no good conductors of heat

  • This phenomenon on transfer of heat is responsible for the hearing of a pan etc...

  • And this is why we use non metallic materials on the handles so that they won't get heated and not hurt us
