Explanation:

ANSWER:-

Basics of Parallel Combination:-

  • Parallel combination is the reciprocal of summession of Resistances
  • According to Formula, if I take Parallel Resistance AS x,

 \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{1}{y1}  +  \frac{1}{y2}  +  \frac{1}{y3}

  • Where y1, y2 and y3 are other Resistances
  • So, we can see that
  • The value of actual Resistance decreases when combined in Parallel combination.

We derive that Parallel resistances actually decrease the resistance as offered earlier due to reciprocal.

Basics of Series combination:-

  • Series combination is simple addition of all Resistances
  • According to formula, if x is equivalent resistance

x = y1 + y2 + y3

  • Where all y1, y2 and y3 are other Resistances
  • So, series resistances increase the resistance AS offered earlier.

According to Question:-

  • We need to find the parallel resistance
  • As A has lower path, A is having parallel combination due to less resistance offered .

Things to Note:-

  • Always see whether there is V-I or I-V graph
  • I-V graph tales the reciprocal of Resistances.
  • This graph is a V-I graph, so resistances are taken standard.

Hence, A is the option.

A as in a parallel connection the individual resistance is more than total resistance
And in a series it is less than total
So for the same resistors series will have more resistance
And in a VI graph steeper sloops has more resistance than flatter one .
