Let the digit at tens place be x and the digit at unit place be y
Therefore the number = 10x+y
A/Q
y = 4x - - - - - - - - equation 1
Again in case II
10y+x -(10x+y) = 54
10y+x-10x-y = 54
10y-y+x-10x = 54
9y-9x= 54
9(y-x) =54
Y-x =6
It can be written as below
X-y = -6-----------equation 2
Hence putting the value of y from eqn 1 to this eqn we get
X-4x= - 6
-3x = - 6
x =-6/-2
X = 2
Therefore the value of x is 2
Now finding y by putting value in eqn 1
Y=4x
Y= 8
Therefore the required number is 10x+y
= 28 is the answer
