one dioptre. needle is behind the l convex lens on second focal plane

kmalhotra289p90mni: Plzzzz explain it
kmalhotra289p90mni: I’m not understanding
acquinaldrin: object on first floor complaint show image should be on the second floor complaint behind the lens in the case of a convex lens so image lies on the second focal plane power is equal to 1 by focal length so in metres 1 / 0.5 will give you two dioptres

given

m = -1

v = 50 cm

h' = h

wkt,

             m = h'\h = v\u

so,

-1 = 50\u

therefore u= - 50 cm.

1\v - 1\u = 1\f

1\50 + 1\50 = 1\f

therefore f= 25 cm

P = 100\f(in cm)

   = 100\25

therefore P = 4 D
