Marginalisation is the social process by which a person or a group of people are made marginal or become relegated to the fringe or edge of society. It occurs when people is pushed to the edge of a society, usually as an effect of discrimination making the person standout and look different from everybody else. They consequently feel alone and left out from the rest of society.
1. The Constitution of India provided in principle legal and political equality to everybody irrespective of their caste.
2. Article 17 of the constitution banned untouchability, Besides that the Parliament has also enacted Untouchability (offences) Act 1955
3. Government policy of reservation which has helped in enhancing the education and economic status of the Schedule caste and Schedule Tribe.
