1-There is more wheat cultivation than rice cultivation because it is a staple food since 6000 years and whereas in rice it is more labour intensive and needs more cost and time whereas wheat, it neads less water and cost for its cultivation compared rice crop.

2-Sugarcane requires hot and humid climate , level noland and no accumulation of water. The climatic condition is the most important factor which is affecting the cultivation of sugarcane in temperate lands like prairies.
