Answer: QC=45 CM AND PD=40 CM

Step-by-step explanation: Firstly, Find the area of the rectangle

L=51 CM; B=25 CM

Area of the rectangle= L X B=> 51 X 25=> 1275

In Trapezium PQCD-

QC II PD AND QC:PD= 9:8

Height= DC => 25 CM

Area of the trapezium is 5/6th of rectangle=> 1275 X 5/6=> 1062.5

Formula for area of trapezium is- 1/2 X ( sum of parallel sides ) X ( distance between the two parallel lines or the height )

Assigning the values we get :-

1062.5= 1/2 X (9x + 8x) X (25)

(Transporting 1/2 to the other side)

1062.5 X 2= 17x X 25

2125= 425x

(Transporting 425 to the other side)

x= 2125/425

x= 5

THEREFORE, QC= 9 X 5 => 45 CM

PD= 8 X 5=> 40 CM.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU :)
