There are many famous leaders such as Nelson Mandella, Martin Luther King, or Winston Churchill, but I see an example of a good leader every day at my house. As you might have understood, he is my dad. Artashes Harutyunyan is the head of the Armenian branch of a Canadian IT company. He is one of the most caring, funny, creative, friendly, and loving people I know, so I decided to talk about him. However, being a good person does not necessarily mean being a good leader. So, what qualities of leader does Artashes have?
Before becoming a leader, Artashes was a simple worker in an IT company. During his experience as a junior programmer, he learned how to work in a team. Programming actually needs a lot of teamwork. The sizes of tasks could be enormous, and doing it alone may be impossible. Artashes was one of those people who would help others if they need and he was very responsible and met all his deadlines. This enabled him to become a manager in another company. As a manager, he was working harder because he was already a team-lead of a small team. Artashes was one of the most loved team-leads in the company, and soon after 2-3 years, the CEO of the company offered him the position of the head of the Armenian branch. This was a brief history, but it took 15 years of experience for Artahses to become a good leader.
