4 g of NaOH dissolved in 150 g of water
mass of solute = 4 g
mass of solvent = 150 g
mass of solution = mass of solvent + mass of solute
= 150 + 4
= 154g
mass percent = ( mass of solute / mass of solution ) × 100
= (4/154) × 100
= (1/38.5) × 100
= 2.59
note : solution is a homogenous mixture of two and more then two substance ( solute and solvent )
