1. Average speed = Total distance / Total time taken

= S1 + S2/t1 + t2

S1 = 10km

= 10*1000 = 10000m

S2 = 10km

= 10000m

t1 = 20min

=20*60 = 1200sec

t2 = 30 min

= 30*60 = 1800sec

Average speed = 10000 + 10000/1200 + 1800

=20000/3000

= 6.67m/s

2.

we can use the formula 2xy/x + y

so,

2 x 20 x 30/ 20 + 30

12000 / 50

= 240 km/hr

Rythm14: and i already answered your 3rd que
stargirl0842006: ok
stargirl0842006: but the answer for 2nd. one is 24km\h
Rythm14: ok let me check
raechall: I think u asked for 3 rd na??
Rythm14: im getting 240 not 24
raechall: for which question
Rythm14: 2nd
raechall: acha k

Answer:

v = 0

u= 54km/hr=15m/s

s= 20 m

v^2 - u^2 = 2as

0^2 - 15^2 =2 x a x20

0 - 225=40a

-225/40=a

-5.625m/s^2=acceleration

It was a de-acceleration or retardation bcoz the answer is negative
