FOR 1st QUESTION

WHEN THE WIRE IS CUT THE RESISTANCE OF EACH PIECE IS R/5

WHEN THESE PIECES ARE ATTACHED IN PARALLEL CONNECTION THE EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE IS R/25 ----R'

NOW

R/R' = R

R/25

= 25

FOR 2ND QUESTION

P = VI = I^2R = V^2 / R

↔SO B DOES NOT REPRESENT ELECTRICAL POWER..

hope this ans helps you..

Question:- A piece of wire of resistance R is cut into five euqal parts. This parts are then connected in parallel. If the equivalent resistance of this combination is R'. Then the R/R' ?

Answer: 25

Explanation: Let the of each parts be R₁ , R₂ , R₃ , R₄  and R₅

We know that resistance a wire a directly proportional to its length, So If we cut wire of resistance in five parts resistacne of each part will be R/5.

It means,

R₁ = R₂ = R₃ = R₄ = R₅ = R/5

If the resistances are connected in series, their equivalent resistance;

1/R' = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + 1/R₃ + 1/R₄ + 1/R₅

1/R' = 5/R + 5/R + 5/R + 5/R + 5/R

1/R' = (5+5+5+5+5)/R

1/R' = 25/R

R/R' = 25
