c.p of iron box = ₹960

profit made by arun = 5%

c.p for varun = 960 + 5% of 960

= 960 + 0.05 × 960

= 960 + 48 = ₹1008

varun sold to bhawan for ₹957.60

loss = 1008 - 957.60 = ₹50.4

loss% = 50.4 × 100 / 1008

= 5%

thus ,loss = 5%

Answer: varun lost = ₹50.4 = 5%

Profit earned by arun is
 \frac{5}{100} 960  = 48
so varun got it at the cost of 48+960=1008

Bhavan got it at the cost of 957.60

loss of varun is 1008-957.60=50.4

Loss %=
 \frac{50.4}{1008}  \times 100 = 5
so varun sold it as 5% loss
