In both the stories 'the black aeroplane 'in and 'the letter to God ' both the the pilot of black aeroplane and lencho the farmer receive help. the narrator got help from another aeroplane which showed him the correct path and saved him in the storm and lencho got help from postmaster for his loss of crops. however in both the situations the protagonists reacted differently to the help. the pilot in the black aeroplane was thankful for the help and had thought that someone had help him in this bad situation however there was no one. it was he himself who visualised himself as his partner in the bad situation. whereas lencho accepted the help as the help from God and was even not satisfied with 70 pasos as he has greed for 30 more pesos. in his greed and his believe in God he termed the Postmaster and his employees who had actually helped him, 'a bunch of Crooks'. similarity in the stories is the way they get help from one and and think of it as the help from other.

this is the answer to ur query ...hope it helps you..
