Let speed of train be x.
Then,
Speed= distance/time
Time= distance/speed
=480/x
Now when speed is 8km less then,
Time= 480/x-8
Then, T2- T1=3
480/x - 480/x-8 = 3
And , 480 [1/x - 1/ x-8] = 3
Solve it, you will get the speed...
