▶️The most wrong social evil during the 19th century was the practice of sati . In this the widows were forced to burn alive on the husband's funeral pyre. Some people also considered this as that those females who committed sati was a revere as a pure soul, a goddess. The other belief was that the act of self immolation provided the victim's dead husband a spiritual salvation.
