let mothers present age be x .
then son age will be x/2 .
A.T.Q
x+10= 3(x/2+10)
x+10= 3x/2 + 30
x-3x/2 = 30-10
x/2 = 20
x= 40
so mothers age will be 40 years.
and son will be 20 years old.

HEYA MATE, HERE IS UR ANSWER

\huge\boxed {\red {\bold {ANSWER}}}

Let the present age of mother be x years .

Then Son's present age =1/2 of x

= x/2

Ten years ago

Son's age =x/2-10

=x-20/2

Mother's age=x-10

But according to the question

Mother's age =3×son's age

x-10=3×x-20/2

x-10=3x-60/2

By cross - multiplication

2 (x-10)=3x-60

2x-20=3x-60

2x-3x=-60+20

-x=-40

x=40

Therefore

\underline{\blue{\bold{Mother's \:age}}}=40 years

\underline{\blue{\bold {Son's\: age}}}=40/2

= 20years
