Using formula,

b^2 = ac

( x +1) ^2 = ( x-2) (x +7)

x^2 + 1 + 2x = x^2 +7x - 2x - 14

15 = 3x

x = 5

Value of ' X' is 5.

11th term of the G. P., ar^10

Firstly, ( x - 2) = 5 - 2 = 3

First term, a = 3

Second term, ar = ( x + 1 ) = 6

Third term, ar^2 = ( x + 7) = 12

6/3 = 12/6

So, Common Ratio, r = 2

Now, 11th term, ar^10 = 3 × ( 2) ^10

11th term, a^10 = 3× 1024 = 3072
