The simplest food synthesised by the plants by photosynthesis is, a simple carbohydrate called glucose. The glucose carbohydrate is made up of three elements : carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. The plants use the simple carbohydrate glucose to make many other foods such as starch, oils (or fats), proteins and vitamins.
