X is Oxygen, Y is Aluminium and Z is Argon.(I) Oxygen will gain electrons as it's electronic composition (e.c) is 2,6. It takes less energy in gaining electrons.(ii) Aluminium will lose electrons as it's e.c is 2,8,3. It takes less energy in gaining electrons.(III) Argon will not gain or lose electrons as it's e.c is 2,8,8. It will take no electrons as it has no space to gain or lose.pls mark me the brainliest

Answer:

X - Oxygen

Y - Aluminium

Z - Argon.

Explanation:

1) X has the tendency to gain electrons in order to attain noble gas configuration.

2) Y has the tendency to lose electrons to attain noble gas configuration.

3) Z since it has Noble gas configuration has neither the tendency to gain nor lose electrons.
